Gary Cortell of Cortell TV Joins Direct Global / Direct Co-ops as Director of Marketing for the USA

We are delighted to welcome Mr. Cortell on board, having someone with his experience in the US market will be integral to our US operations.


Gary Cortell has over twenty-five years experience in the film, video and television industry with a proficiency in TV production, distribution, digital marketing, and media services. He currently is and has been the force behind the creation and production of TV Consumer Related Programming and produced several nationally aired programs, commercials and documentaries of which “The Media, Journalism in Crisis” was featured under category News Documentaries at the Monte Carlo Film Festival.

As President and Executive Producer of “ABC Money Talks” Mr. Cortell produced a half-hour weekly personal finance program distributed worldwide to 190 countries, including WorldNet TV and The Armed Forces Network that featured consumer targeted topics that included Money, Travel, Points of View, Stock Picks, Beware Topics, Current Technology and many others. This program consistently out- performed its competition “The Wall St Journal report,” “CBS MarketWatch,” and “Bloomberg” becoming the #1 rated personal finance program 7 out of the 11 years it aired. Additionally, he initiated a collaborative relationship launching “The Smart Consumer”, a half-hour weekly television program that aired on PBS nationally featuring reports from the infamous publication and testing sights of Consumer Reports.

Gary, has a unique and extraordinary entrepreneurial track record of marketing, launching and supervising numerous national advertising and production campaigns for network and cable clients including: ABC, Viacom, PBS and Fox Business News while concurrently continuing his passion to seek opportunities where the target audience is Today’s “American Consumer.”
